In the 2016-17 season, rising french soprano Norma Nahoun makes her debuts at the Metz Opera, the Limoges Opera as well as at the Mozarteum Salzbourg. This season is synonym of discovery as Norma will sing 4 new roles, like Lucy in The Telefon by Menotti or Solveig in Grieg’s Peer Gynt in Norwegian.

Last season, rising french soprano Norma Nahoun sang Massenet at the Opera de Montpellier, with the Orchestre National de Lyon under the baton of Leonard Slatkin as well as Gretel at the Opera de Nantes and at the Opera d'Angers. In 2016, Norma returned to the Opera National de Lorraine as well as embarked on a major european tour with Mozart's Requiem and as Papagena in The Magic Flute with the Budapest Festival Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Ivan Fischer. August 2016 marked her return to the Mostly Mozart Festival in New York.

The 14-15 season she sang the Jaqueline (Fortunio, Messager) at the Opéra de Saint-Étienne and the Barbarina at the Edinburgh Music Festival. Norma went on concert tours with the Orchestre Symphonique de Tours, the Borusian Phylarmonic Orchestra and the Kammerorchester Stuttgart. Ivan Fischer invited her to perform with the Budapest Festival Orchestra as Papagena, a role which she had performed to highest acclaim at the Opera national de Paris. She also toured to Munich, Vienna and Versailles with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester and Ulf Schirmer.

Norma was invited numerous times to the Mostly Mozart and Verbier Festival as well as the International Festival Edinburgh (Le Nozze Di Figaro) and sang roles like the one of Narnetta (Falstaff, Verdi) at the Opera de Tours, Colette (Le Devin du village, Rousseau) at the Grand Théâtre de Genève and Lisette (La Rondine, Puccini) at the Opéra National de Lorraine under the direction of José Cura.

The young soprano, born in Paris, began her studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris under the direction of Laurence Equilbey where she graduated in June 2007. Subsequently she had been studying a student at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler (Berlin) in Norma Sharp’s class and was awarded prizes at the Schloss Rheinsberg Chamber OperFestival and the International Competition of interpretation of French art song in Toulouse, she also won Verbier Festival's prestigious Voice Academy Award. 2012-2014 Norma was a member of the Young Ensemble at the Semperoper Dresden and appeared as Papagena (»Die Zauberflöte«), Königin (»Das geheime Königreich«), Barbarina (»Le nozze di Figaro«), Frasquita (»Carmen«) and Didone (»L’impresario delle Canarie«)
